بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ
Firstly, it is Adam who was sent into the world. As the first human being, Hazrat Adam ے is referred to as Abul Bashar. He is the father of all humans who have come into existence or will come into existence from the beginning to the end. Therefore, they are referred to as ‘man.’ When Allah Ta‘ala willed for the creation of Hazrat Adam and told the angels, “I am going to make him His Caliph on earth,” Iblis, the Satan who claims to be the lord of jinn, had dominion over the earth. So eres telling you about ike you is very important because under this, i want toabilish.
Iblis-e-Laeen:-
Allah Ta'ala had created this being extremely beautiful and had made him graceful and noble. He gave him the kingship of the earth and the skies of the world. In addition, he was given the task of guarding the heaven. However, he became proud and arrogant in the presence of Allah, and he claimed to be God. As a result, Allah Ta'ala expelled him from His court, and he became a devil. Allah Ta'ala disfigured his face and removed the status Allah Ta'ala had given him. Allah Ta'ala cursed him, expelled him from His skies, and declared Hell as the final abode of him and his followers.
Who was Satan the Devil?
Iblis was the leader of the angels and looked after the gardens of heaven. He had the kingship of both the world and the sky.
(Narrated by Ibn Jarrih (may Allah be pleased with him), quoting Ibn Abbas ( peace be upon him)
A tribe of angels belonged to Jinnat and Iblis was one of them. The angels of this tribe were created from the hot flame of fire. This flame does not look like a flame but can only be felt and all the heat is in it. Apart from this tribe, all the other angels were created from light. Iblis's name was Haris. In another tradition, Azazeel is also mentioned and he was one of the guards of heaven.
( Narration of Ibn Abbas ک )
Iblis' pride:-
Allah Ta'ala says in the Holy Quran that-
And whoever among them says, "I have no god other than Allah", We will punish him with the punishment of Hell. This is the punishment We give to the oppressors.
(Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 29)
In the commentary of this verse, Ibn Jarrih (may Allah have mercy on him) writes that-
"The first among the angels who said that I am a god instead of Allah was Iblis"
Hazrat Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that-
“This verse was revealed about Iblis, the enemy of Allah. Allah cursed him and expelled him from His mercy. And said, We will punish him with Hell and this is how We reward the wrongdoers.”
Allah Ta'ala says in another place in the Holy Quran-
“And remember when We commanded the angels to prostrate themselves before Adam. They all prostrated themselves except Iblis, who denied, became arrogant and became an unbeliever.)”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse- 34)
Why did Iblis become so arrogant that he not only refused to obey Allah's command but also claimed to be God? There are many opinions among the scholars regarding this.
According to a statement of Ibn Abbas ک ,
“The Jinns were present on the earth before the creation of humans. Once they spread mischief on the earth , killed each other and shed blood. Allah Ta’ala sent Iblis with a group of angels to put an end to their mischief. This was the same group that is called Jinn. Iblis and his group of angels fought with them and pushed them into the islands and distant mountains. This act made him proud. Allah became aware of his pride but the angels could not.”
According to another statement of Ibn Abbas ک ,
“Iblis was the king and ruler of the heavens, the earth and all the areas in between, and was also responsible for the protection of heaven. Iblis used to worship Allah Ta’ala a lot and suffered a lot in doing so. Due to this, he became a victim of selfishness and started considering himself very great and of very high status and finally he expressed his arrogance even in front of Allah Ta’ala.”
According to the narrations of Ibne Mas'ud ک , Ibne Abbas ک and other Sahaaba-e-Kiraam-
“When Allah Ta’ala, after creating His most beloved creation, adorned the throne according to His glory, He appointed Iblis as the king of the world. Iblis belonged to that group of angels who are called Jinn. They were named Jinn because they were the guards and protectors of heaven. This honour created arrogance in Iblis’ heart, so much so that he said that whatever Allah Ta’ala has bestowed on me is the reward and result of my personal worship and devotion.”
When Allah Almighty created Adam , he ordered the angels to prostrate themselves before Adam. Everyone obeyed the order but Iblis refused and disobeyed Allah Almighty. Allah Ta'ala knows all the secrets and asked Iblis, what stopped Adam from prostrating? He replied, “I am better than Adam. You created me from fire and Adam from clay.” Satan's answer was one of arrogance and ignorance. Allah Ta'ala became angry at this and made Randhe Dargah i.e. removed him by His mercy and put the noose of curse around his neck. Instead of repenting and forgiving, Satan openly rebelled against Allah and asked for time till the Doomsday to mislead the human race . The knowledge and wisdom of Allah also demanded that the children of Adam be tested. Therefore, his request was accepted. He was given a long life and along with it, the things that were needed to mislead the progeny of Adam.
Birth of Hazrat Adam ے: -
Allah is capable of every work. If He wishes, He can create all the worlds in the blink of an eye, but He created this world and human beings in many stages. When Allah Almighty wanted to create Hazrat Adam, He said to the angels -
"Surely I am going to appoint a deputy on the earth. They said, "You will appoint as your deputy those who spread mischief and shed blood there, and we sing Your praises and glorify Your purity. He said, "Surely I know what you do not know."
(Surah Baqarah Verse 29,30)
Hazrat Ibn Abbas while explaining the explanation of this verse says that-
“The angels said this because the first jinns who lived on earth caused mischief and shed blood and due to disobedience to Allah, the next Caliph will also do the same. Allah Ta’ala said that you certainly do not know what I know.”
It should be remembered that the angels did not say this as an objection nor as a form of jealousy towards Adam and his progeny because according to the Quran, the angels do not say anything which they are not allowed to say or ask .
Therefore, when Allah Almighty wanted to create Adam , He said that soil should be brought from all over the earth and for Adam, the sticky sticky soil was raised towards the sky. First this soil was in the form of mortar and then leaven arose from it. Therefore, from this sticky and sticky clay, Allah Ta'ala created the effigy of Adam by His hand of nature.
From what clay was Adam created?
It is narrated from Abu Musa Ash'ari that Rasulullah گ said -
“Allah created Adam from a handful of soil, which was taken from all over the world. In this way, due to the use of soil from many places, humans are of different colors (like fair, black or dark), different habits (like happy nature, bad temperament) and different qualities (like good and bad).”
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas that man was created from three kinds of soil:
- Years and years ,
- Ours ,
- Three Laziness
“Teen Laazib” means the finest and finest soil, “Hama” means mud and “Salsal” means soil that has been pounded and made fine i.e. soil that tinkles.
Allama Ibn Kasir writes that Allah Almighty ordered the angels to bring soil. That soil was taken towards the sky and Adam was created from the laced soil “Teen Lazib” which before this was in the form of stinking soil “Hama” and before that it was in the form of dry soil “Turab”.
As Allah Ta'ala says in the Holy Quran-
"We created man from dry clay."
(Surah Al-Hajr, Verse-26)
The truth is that Allah created Adam from His creation. First the clay was converted into mortar and then it was mixed and kneaded. Then an effigy of Adam was made and it was left like this for forty days. Angels used to come to see it. Even the devil would kick this effigy with his foot and say, "If I conquer you, I will destroy you and if you become my ruler, I will disobey you."
entry of soul into the body
Allah Almighty made an effigy of Adam and left it like this for forty days. When the clay became strong without cooking and started making a sound like that of a clay after drying and when this effigy became firm, Allah Ta'ala expressed the intention of breathing soul into it. Presenting the effigy in front of the angels, he said that when I breathe soul into it, you should fall in prostration before it.
According to the narrations of Ibne Mas'ud ک , Ibne Abbas ک and other Sahaaba-e-Kiraam-
When Allah Almighty wanted to breathe soul into the effigy of Adam, he told the angels that when I breathe soul into it, you should fall in prostration before him. Then when Allah Almighty breathed the soul into the body of Adam ے , it entered the body from the head side due to which Adam ے sneezed, on which the angels said “ Alhamdulillah ” (i.e. all praises are due to Allah). On saying Alhamdulillah, Allah said “Rahamka Rabbika” (i.e. may your Lord have mercy on you). When the Spirit entered the eyes, Adam saw the fruits and nuts of Paradise. When it reached the stomach, the desire to eat arose and Adam jumped towards those fruits and nuts even before the soul reached his feet and legs . Pointing towards this haste in the Holy Quran, Allah Ta’ala said, “Indeed, man is hasty”.
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas that –
Allah Almighty first breathed the soul into the body of Adam, so it entered the body from the head and whichever part of the body it reached, it was transformed into flesh and blood. When the soul reached the place of Naf, Adam looked at his body and found it to be very beautiful. When Adam tried to get up, he could not get up. Allah Ta'ala said - "Surely man is quick to stop." He further said, “Adam could not have patience for happiness”. Then when the soul spread in all the bodies, Adam sneezed and said “ Alhamdulillah ” (All praises are due to Allah). This was because of the inspiration from Allah. Allah said, O Adam! May Allah have mercy on you.
Then Allah Almighty gave knowledge to Adam and taught him the names of all things .
It is mentioned in the Holy Quran that-
“And Allah Almighty taught all the names to Adam .”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse-31)
Hazrat Ibn Abbas , while explaining this, says that-
“Allah taught Adam the name of every thing, even the sound of air being expelled from the body. He taught the names of all small and big things, both caste and class, and also taught the names of all the works, like Ibn Abbas says, 'Goonj'.
Allah Ta'ala taught Adam all the names and presented him before the angels and said-
" If you are truthful then tell the names of these things. The angel said, Allah, your race is pure, we only know as much as you have taught us. You are the one with complete knowledge and wisdom. Allah said to Adam, tell me the names of these things. When he told them. I said, didn't I tell you earlier that only I know the intricacies of the sky and the earth and what you reveal is in my knowledge. Do it and hide it. ”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Verses 31 to 33)
What is being said here is that Allah Almighty gave Adam an advantage over the angels through a special knowledge . This incident happened after the angels prostrated. Allah Almighty then presented these things before the angels and said, if you are true in your belief then tell the names of these things. As soon as the angels heard this, they expressed the greatness of Allah, their purity and their lack of knowledge and said, O Lord! This is the only knowledge you have given us. You are the one who knows all things, Lord.
Then Allah Almighty turned to Adam and said, tell me the names of these things . You have given the names of all the things correctly. In this way, when Adam 's evil got revealed to the angels, Allah Ta'ala said, "Look, I had already told you that I am the knower of every open and hidden thing. This means that I only know the arrogance and pride hidden in the heart of Iblis and the angels came to know that through knowledge and grace, Adam was bestowed upon us with grace and mercy. " Priority has been given.
Birth of Hazrat Havva ے
When the arrogance of Iblis became apparent in front of the angels and he became arrogant and rebellious, Allah Ta’ala cursed him, took away the rule of the sky and the earth from him and also removed him from the guarding of heaven and said- “You are cursed, get out of heaven, you are cursed till the doomsday.”
After this, Allah ordered Hazrat Adam to live in heaven and cast sleep on him i.e. he fell asleep. Then he took a rib from his left rib and gave birth to Eve . When Adam woke up , he saw a woman standing at his bedside. He asked- “Who are you?” Said- “A woman”……. Then asked – “For what were you created?”… She started saying – “So that you can get solace from me.”
When the angels got the news, they came to see this woman and said, O Adam! What is his name ?…. Adam replied – “ Eve ”….. He then asked – “Why was this name kept?” Said – “‘Because it was created from “ Hai ” i.e. a living human being.”
Thereafter Allah Ta'ala said:
“You and your wife will live in paradise and eat to your heart's content from wherever you want, but don't go near this tree because you will be among those who exceed the limits.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Verses 34 to 35)
Allah Almighty gave Adam and Eve a place in Paradise and gave them every kind of freedom except going near a tree. As per the orders of Allah, they restrained themselves from going near that tree, then Satan put pressure on their hearts and ultimately both of them committed the sin from which Allah had forbidden them.
Allah Ta'ala has said in the Holy Quran-
“So the Satan tempted them through this tree and separated them from where they used to live and We said: All of you come down.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Verses 36 to 37)
They had just started eating the fruit when the heavenly attire came off and both of them covered themselves with leaves and started running here and there in embarrassment. Allah Almighty said, O Adam! Do you run away from me? He pleaded - "'No"... "O my Lord! Rather, I submit to You. Allah's command was revealed that O Adam! Had I not forbidden you from going near that tree? Had I not warned you that Satan is your open enemy? Hazrat Adam ے immediately realizing his mistake fell in prostration and prayed for repentance. Started-
“O God, we have wronged our own souls and if you do not forgive us by your grace and kindness and do not have mercy on us then we will incur losses.”
(Surah Al-Airaaf, Verse-23)
Allah Almighty, who knows the condition of everyone's heart, knew very well the condition of Hazrat Adam ے 's heart. He forgave you. But Allah had to populate the world for the future and increase the human race, so Allah Almighty ordered Hazrat Adam and Eve to go down to the earth and stay there and always remember this – “Satan is your open enemy.”
